| Welcome to Sussex Wesleyan |
|
Who are we? Sussex Wesleyan is a group of people from all age groups and all walks of life. Wherever you are in the mix, you will be welcomed.
When to arrive? Our service begins at 10am so we would suggest you arrive around 9:45am to have a chance to settle in. If you have children who will be joining you this will give you an opportunity to take them to their ministry areas and register them for the morning.
What to wear? Just be comfortable. You don't need to dress to impress us. You'll see suits and ties sitting next to jeans and t-shirts. Whatever you're wearing you'll be welcomed.
What to expect? We know new experiences can be intimidating so here is a bit of a glimpse into what you can expect when you come.
You will be greeted at the door by a friendly face that has been in your shoes before and knows the value of a smile and a handshake. Our coffee pot is waiting for you in the foyer and you're welcome to grab a cup as you come in.
On your way to a seat you will be handed a Worship Folder. This has information about our current message series, the morning's topic, our staff, and relevant information for the church at large.
Our service includes modern worship with a full band, announcements, prayer, offering, and relevant, life-applicable teaching from the Bible. Although we take God very seriously, we try not to take ourselves too seriously, so don't be surprised if you hear the odd comment from the floor as we enjoy our time together. In all, our goal is to provide an opportunity to celebrate all the good things God has been doing through the week, and to be encouraged and equipped for the week ahead as we draw closer to Him, whether you are new to the church or have been a Christian for many years.
To get a better feel for who we are and how you can plug in we encourage you to take some time to explore our website. Our Ministries menu will help you understand how we want to connect with your family. Under About Us you can meet our staff and get a better idea of our core mission and beliefs. We also have archives with past messages, worship folders, and newsletters for you to check out. If we can be of any service to you please don't hesitate to get in touch with us using the information in the Contact Us menu.
